Enter the radius of the circular base and the cylinder's perpendicular height. Both measurements must use the same unit.
Volume is V = pi × radius^2 × height. Total surface area is A = 2 × pi × radius^2 + 2 × pi × radius × height.
A cylinder with a radius of 3 cm and height of 10 cm has a volume of pi × 3^2 × 10 = 282.74 cm³. Its total surface area is 2 × pi × 3^2 + 2 × pi × 3 × 10 = 245.04 cm².
Total surface area includes both ends and the curved side. For an open cylinder, subtract the area of each missing end.
Use A = 2 × pi × radius × height. This excludes both circular bases.
