The standard difference is days between = end date serial number - start date serial number. An inclusive count adds 1, and the calendar conversion automatically accounts for month lengths and leap years.
From March 1, 2026 to March 15, 2026, the elapsed difference is 14 days. Counting both March 1 and March 15 gives 15 calendar days.

Yes, the date calculation includes February 29 when it falls inside the selected range. A leap year is generally divisible by 4, except century years not divisible by 400.
